Day of constant activity

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Run around a bunch of courts. Several hearings. Very hectic. Drive to Lorena’s house. Hang out with Xena. Today Xena asks me to spin her around and around until we get dizzy. She really enjoys that particular activity. Drive back to the courthouse for another hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on a few files. Walk home. Go to Orangetheory. Later walk up to check out Bastille Days. Back after three years. A day of constant activity.

Walk around in Waukesha

In the morning drive to the Waukesha County Jail. Turned away. We don’t have enough staff to do it. Unreal. Walk around the neighborhood down the street from the courthouse while listening to a discussion of Edward Gibbon’s “The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire”. Walk back to the Waukesha County Courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive to a Chinese food buffet. Not good but not terrible either. Drive to Lorena’s house. Hang out with Xena on the porch. She is playing on her tablet. She loves it. Drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on a few files. Walk home. Go to Orangetheory. Walk around the Third Ward after to push my steps to over 20,000.

Make it to the stairwell

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Walk over to the jail. Go in for consultations. Walk back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. In the afternoon walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Try later to do some more. Make it to the stairwell. No energy left. Turn around and go back to the couch. Watch “You Only Live Twice” (1967).

Buy Diet Coke and Ice Mountain water. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on several files. Go to Orangetheory. Great effort today.

Sunshine turns to dark clouds

In the morning drive to the office. Pack up files for next week. Drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Ride my bike to 43rd and Morgan. Start out feeling down but my mood improves as I ride up Greenfield Avenue and see all the people outside their houses. Walk west on Morgan to 84th Street. Walk north to Becher Street. Walk east to 35th Street. Walk back to my bike. Ride home as the bright sunshine turns to dark clouds. It starts raining after I get back home.

Last day of Summerfest

In the morning walk to the office. Work briefly. Ride my bike west on the Hank Aaron trail. Ride to the New Berlin trail. Ride to Calhoun Road. Turn around. Ride home. Walk to Summerfest. Walk around the festival. It is the last day of Summerfest. It is crowded. Walk back home.

Back at it

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Back at it. Drive home. Take a nap. Watch “Dr. No” (1962).

In the morning ride my bike to the intersection of College Avenue and Howell Avenue. Lock it up on a City of Milwaukee population sign. Walk west to 43rd Street. Walk north to Layton Avenue. Walk back to my bike. Ride it home in a great mood.
