Don't Worry, Be Happy
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Get delayed in preliminary hearing court waiting for a witness to show up. Walk over to the sixth floor to meet a client to have a contentious consultation. It ends on a calmer note. Drive home. Eat lunch. Walk to the office. Work on several things. Walk home. Walk south to National Avenue. It is a sunny day. See a Milwaukee sports mural in an alley. Walk back home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a sentencing hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. Find many geese swimming in Lake Michigan. Throw out bread to them. It causes a great deal of excitement. Walk to the Brady Street bridge. Walk up Brady Street. Walk back home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go to the sixth floor for Jury trial. Case is dismissed. Do another hearing on the sixth floor. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse. Do more hearings on the sixth floor. Spend the day on the sixth floor. Drive home.
In the morning drive to Waukesha West High School. Walk south and west on River Road. Walk to Highway 83. Walk north to Highway 59. Walk east back to my car. Drive home.
In the morning walk to the office. Work on many things. Walk home. Eat lunch. In the afternoon walk back to the office. Work on many more things. Walk home. Lay on the couch.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for three preliminary hearings. Go to another courtroom for a sentencing hearing. Drive home. Eat lunch. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another preliminary hearing and a restitution hearing. Drive home. Walk north to the Downer Avenue Sendik’s. Stop at the deli and get food for dinner. Walk home. My upper back hurts again.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a preliminary hearing. Walk around the courthouse. Find a bench. Sit there for an hour. Walk to another courtroom for a late morning hearing. Drive home. Eat lunch. Walk to the office. Do a consultation with a client over Zoom. Walk home. Walk north on Water Street to Brady Street. Walk to North Avenue. Walk east to Farwell Avenue. Walk south back downtown.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a preliminary hearing. Walk over to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk around downtown while listening to songs from the band “Genesis”.
In the morning walk to the office. Work on a variety of matters. Walk home. East lunch. In the afternoon walk north all the way to Sendik’s on Downer Avenue. Get food from their deli for dinner. Walk home. Eat the food from the deli.
In the morning drive to the courthouse for two jury trials. One is adjourned and the other one is dismissed. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on many things. Walk home. Try to go for a walk but get too tired. Walk back home. At night watch “Blue Thunder” (1983).
