South Shore marina

In the morning walk to the office. Work on writing letters to clients. In the afternoon walk south to Bay View. Walk to the South Shore marina. Walk further south to Howard Avenue. Walk back north to Bay View. Stop at McDonald’s. Eat the food on a picnic bench in front of the library. Walk home in a good mood. It was nice and sunny all day.

Training wheels

In the morning walk to the office. Work on a few files. In the afternoon walk north on Martin Luther King Drive. Walk to Capitol Drive. Walk east to Lake Drive. Walk south through Lake Park. Walk down Farwell Avenue. Stop at Brady Street to watch the bike races. See a little girl on training wheels riding in last place.

Not as hot today

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go to several courts to do several hearings. In the afternoon walk north on Holton Avenue to Capitol Drive. Not as hot today. Walk east to Lake Drive. Walk through Lake Park. Walk south on Farwell Avenue. My knee is hurting. Walk back home.

100 degrees

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. In the afternoon walk north on Holton Avenue. Walk west on Capitol Drive to Sherman Boulevard. The temperature hits 100 degrees. The sweat pours all over me. Heat exhaustion sets in. Make it back home somehow.

West to 76th Street

In the morning walk to the office. Work on a few files. In the afternoon walk to 27th Street. Walk south to Lincoln Avenue. Walk west to 76th Street. Walk north to Blue Mound Avenue. It is very hot outside. Walk back home.

Stick their beaks out

In the morning walk down to the lakefront. Walk up to Lake Park. Walk back downtown. In the afternoon drive to Sam’s Club. Buy more Diet Coke. Drive to Heather’s house. Eat steaks while watching the bird house with binoculars. It is a birdhouse in the form of the Star Wars Death Star. See the baby birds stick their beaks out of the bird house opening while their parents bring food to them.

Summer Soulstice festival

In the morning drive to Sam’s Club. Buy Diet Coke and Ice Mountain water. Walk to the office. Work on a few files. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk up to Northoint. Walk by the Summer Soulstice festival. Walk back home.

Half the road

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go to all my hearings and everything runs smoothly. Then I get to the Safety Building. Sit around for two hours waiting for the Sheriff’s Office to bring my client over from the jail. Case ends up getting adjourned. In the later afternoon walk up Martin Luther King Drive to Locust Street. Walk east to Humboldt Avenue. Half the road is under construction. Walk north to Capitol Drive. Stop at Culver’s for a hot fudge sundae. Walk south to Lake Park. Walk to Farwell Avenue. Walk to Brady Street. Walk home.

Out here

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Move through all my hearings smoothly until I get to preliminary hearing court. Sit for two hours waiting for my case to get called. It ends up getting adjourned. In the afternoon walk out to the Port of Milwaukee. It is windy and empty out here.

Student union under renovation

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. In the afternoon do a court hearing on my couch over Zoom. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. After court walk to the lakefront. Walk up to UW-Milwaukee. The student union is under renovation. It is closed. The longer I go the darker the sky gets. Walk back home. Rain begins after I get back.
