Kristine is there

In the morning wait for the plumbers to show up. Kristine is there. She and her co-worker check out the problems and agree to come back Saturday to do the repairs. I give Kristine $100 on the side as a tip. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse for hearings. Drive home. Walk around downtown for awhile. Walk home.

Ducks are more proficient

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for sentencing hearing. Walk over to the Secure Detention Facility. Go in for a consultation. Walk over to the jail. Go in for two consultations. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on several files. Make phone calls. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront again. It is almost 40 degrees colder from yesterday. Find a group of geese hanging out with some ducks. Throw out seed and they gobble it up. The ducks are more proficient at ingesting the seed due to their rapid beak movements and being closer to the ground. Walk home.

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk down to the lakefront. It almost hits 70 degrees. Find geese and throw out bread and seed to them. Find squirrels and throw out peanuts. Walk home.

Planes taking off

In the morning walk to the office. Work on many files. Get cases ready for next week. Walk home. Drive to the Mitchell Field Airport. Walk around the airport. Stop to watch planes taking off. Walk back to my car. Get food from Denny’s. Drive home.

Verdict split across the counts

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for verdict. It is split across the counts: guilty and not guilty. Still not a good result for the client. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on catching up on everything that has been piling up all week. Walk to Zeidler Square and put out peanuts for the squirels that live there. Walk home.
