Faces up in their phones

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse in the afternoon. Go in for more hearings. Drive home. It is over 50 degrees outside. Blow off going to the office. Walk to the Marquette campus. Walk with the students from the Lalumiere Language Hall out to the union. The students all have their faces up in their phones. Walk back home.

Converge on my location

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Walk to the jail. Talk to client about plea deal. It is a much better result than I had thought it would be. The client does not see it that way at all. Drive home. Walk down to the lakefront again. See hundreds of geese walking slowly across a grass plain picking at the frozen ground. I throw out some corn and sunflower seeds. They squak loudly and converge on my location rapidly. Walk back home.

All over the place

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Eat lunch. Walk to the office. Work in the afternoon. Walk down to the lakefront. Find squirrels and geese and birds and ducks all over the place. Walk back home.

Waukesha South High School

In the morning drive to a Woodman’s grocery store in Waukesha. Walk west. Turn south to Sunset Drive. Walk back east. Stop at Waukesha South High School. Go in to look at their trophy case. Keep walking north back to the car. Wear out my legs after this seven hour hike. Drive home.

Not as brutal

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Prepare for jury trial on Monday. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. It is still cold but not as brutal as it was all week. Walk along the lakefront up to UW-Milwaukee. Walk back home.

Still very cold outside

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Walk over to the jai. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse for a sentencing hearing. Drive home. Walk around downtown. It is still very cold outside. Walk home.

Prepare at the law library

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Walk to the law library. Work on preparing for a sentencing hearing. Walk to court for the sentencing. The client is released from jail. The family is very happy with me. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. Drive home.
