Into the weeds a little bit

In the morning walk to the office. Do very little work. Walk home. Walk to Lakeshore State Park. Walk into the weeds a little bit. Walk north to the Brady Street bridge. Walk to check on the nesting geese. Mom and dad are both there. Put down seed. Dad gobbles it up while mom stares off in the distance. Walk home.

I am burned out

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Walk over to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk back to the courthouse for another hearing. I am burned out. Drive home. Lay on the couch. Get up enough strength to walk by MSOE while the students are changing classes. Walk home.

Standing near a flagpole

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Walk to the jail. Go in for a consultation. In the afternoon there are more hearings. Drive home. Walk down to check on the nesting geese. Mom is there, dad is not. Mom is not in a friendly mood. She jerks her head at me. Walk back along the riverwalk. Find two geese standing near a flagpole. Give them seed as they are more friendly to me. Walk home.

Mom is there, dad is not

In the morning walk to the office. Work all morning. Walk home. In the afternoon walk down to check on the nesting geese. The mom is there but the dad is not. Walk south to Cesar Chavez Drive. Stop at Los Comales for tacos. Walk home.

Check on the status

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Walk down to the Pleasant Street bridge to check on the status of the nesting geese. Put out seed for them. Walk home.

Still nesting there

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. There all day. Drive home. Walk to the Plesant Street bridge. See the lady goose still nesting there with her husband still standing watch. Put out more corn seed and suflower seeds. They gobble it up. Walk to get chinese food. Walk home.

Disco Lady

In the morning drive to Oostburg. Walk east to Lake Michigan. Walk north along the beach. At one point take off my shoes and socks and cross a river bank. It is very ice cold! Recover and put my socks and shoes back on. Walk west. Walk south. Walk back to my car. Listen to the top 40 countdown from this week in 1976. The number one song is “Disco Lady” by Johnnie Taylor.

Nesting on a city bridge

In the morning walk to the office. Prepare for jury trial on Monday. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk west and work my way to the Pleasant Street bridge. Find a lady goose nesting on the bridge with her husband standing watch. Put out corn and sunflower seeds. They pose for a picture. Very nice.

Not good at all

In the morning walk to the office. Work on preparing for trial next week. Drive to the jail. Go in to talk to client going to trial next week. Go to court in the afternoon to get a client out of jail and into drug treatment. It is successful. Drive home. Walk south to Cesar Chavez Drive. Walk to Los Comales. It is closed for “Good Friday”. That is not good at all. Walk home disappointed.

Way less time

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Client gets more time that he wanted but way less time that the prosecutor wanted. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on preparing for trial next week. Walk home.
