In the morning drive to the parking lot of the Mars Cheese Castle. Walk around south of that location. Walk back to my car. Drive around and buy supplies from Sam’s Club, Farm and Fleet and Pick N’ Save. Drive home. At night watch “Trainspotting” (1996).

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk west to the Marquette campus. Throw a peanut out to a squirrel up there. This squirrel stops to pose for me with the peanut in its mouth. College squirrels. Walk around to Fiserv Forum. See the crowds gathering for the Bucks home opener, which they go on to lose. Walk home.

Christmas decorations for Halloween

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Drive home. Eat lunch. Walk back to the courthouse. Go in for several more hearings. Walk to the municipal building. Observe that the Christmas decorations are up again this year right in time for Halloween. Go in and vote a straight Democrat ticket. Walk home.

Glows up the autumn leaves

In the morning drive to the office. Go in for two hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk north on the Oak Leaf trail out to Capitol Drive. Get a cheeseburger and a strawberry malt. Walk home. The light of the setting sun glows up the autumn leaves.

Vote early here

In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk west on Wisconsin Avenue. Walk around the Marquette campus. See the students walking back and forth to class with Zombie stares on their faces. Walk to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk to the municipal building. Early voting starts today in Wisconsin. The line is snaking in curves outside the front door. Walk home.

Trail that runs along the river

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk north on a trail that runs along the river. Walk out to Capitol Drive. Turn around and walk home.

All happy on a country road

In the morning drive to Burlington. Walk over eight hours in a circle around the city. Stop at a custard stand for a banana fudge royal sundae. Listen to the Packers beat the Houston Texans with a last second field goal to win, 24-22. Yell out all happy on a country road. Make it back to my car as the sun sets.

Happened to have a bag of bread

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. Find a shitload of geese down near the lagoon. Good thing I happened to have a bag of bread with me! Walk north to the Brady Street bridge. Walk back home.

Fall Break

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work briefly. Walk home. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. Drive home. Walk west to the Marquette campus. Criss cross the college back and forth several times. Don’t see many students. Find out they are on a “Fall Break”. Walk back home as it gets dark out.

Henry the Horse

In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive south to the Town of Bristol. Get out and walk around the countryside. Come across a friendly horse right after hearing the Beatles song “For the Benefit of Mr. Kite” (1967). I therefore name him Henry the Horse. He walks up to me and meets me at the fence. Walk back to my car. Drive home.
