In the morning walk to the office. Work on many files. Walk home. In the afternoon walk down to the lakefront. Hide peanuts around for the squirrels. One squirrel is on to me and grabs the peanuts and hides them. It joyfully runs back and forth with the peanuts. Walk to the grocery store. Put down a handful of bird seed surreptitiously in front of a pigeon that comes right over and eats it up. Walk home.



In the morning drive to Kansasville. Park at the elementary school. Walk south to the Bong Recreation Area. Walk east. See a pasture full of cows. Turn north. Walk back to my car. Walk over seven hours. Hurting for most of the last hour of the hike. Drive home.



Walk south into Bay View. Walk to South Shore beach. Turn back and look at the city skyline. Walk south into St. Francis. Turn around and walk back home.


In the morning walk to the office. Struggle to get anything done. There is no motivation. Walk home. Walk down to the Pleasant Street bridge to check on the nesting geese. Only the mom is there. While walking back home see a bunny rabbit on Astor Street.

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Eat lunch. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. Drive home. Walk down to the Pleasant Street bridge to check on the nesting geese. Sit down and watch them as the rowing teams glide by. Walk back home.

She is annoyed today. She tends to be more like this when the dad is gone. Still eats the seed that I put down though. Walk north to UW-Milwaukee. Walk back home.

Both mom and dad are there and both eagerly eat the seed I put down for them. Continue walking north through UW-Milwaukee and out to Capitol Drive. Stop at Culver’s. Eat a double cheeseburger, fries and a root beer. Walk south. Listen to a podcast discussing Lilith – the feminine archetype. Lilith represents untamed independence, personal sovereignty, and refusal to submit to patriarchal authority. Jump on the Hop and ride it back home.
