It snowed again overnight. It is also very cold. In the morning drive to the courthouse. Run over a traffic cone on my way into the parking complex. Drag the cone under my car down to the lower level. Pull the cone out from under my car. Walk to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. The sixth floor of the courthouse is filled with people. I have not seen this since before Covid. In the afternoon walk to the office. Work all afternoon. Go home and rest on the couch. My knee has been hurting all day.

It snowed last night. In the morning walk around downtown. Put out peanuts for the squirrels. In the afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf trail until my knee hurts too much to keep going. Limp home.

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. In the afternoon walk down to the lakefront. Step out on the icy lagoon. Walk north on the Oak Leaf trail out to Capitol Drive. Listen to the NFL playoff games. The Cincinnati Bengals win over the Tennessee Titans. The Packers lose to the 49ers. Season is over. Very disappointing.

Too fucking cold again today. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for a bunch of hearings. Win a motion to dismiss. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work all afternoon. Walk home. Put a heating pad on my left knee. It feels better.

Super cold again today. The bright sun is not doing its job. In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for some hearings. In the afternoon go back again for a sentencing hearing. At night go to Orangetheory.

In the morning walk to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. Walk around downtown. It is very cold again. Swear a bunch of times at the cold. In the afternoon drive to the Mitchell Street. Get the window fixed on my car. Walk up to 16ht Street. See a person dressed up as the Statue of Liberty. The mask has a sad face. At night go to Orangetheory.

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. Case dismissed. Go to the jail. Go in for a consultation. In the afternoon walk to UW-Milwaukee. Stop in Cathedral Square. See a bird standing on top of the bird statue on the church. Same statue that was illuminated by the full moon last night.

In the morning walk to the office. Pack up my files for tomorrow. Walk to UW-Milwaukee. At night walk around downtown and chase the full moon. It is quite a site.

In the morning walk around downtown. Put out peanuts for the squirrels. Throw out bread pieces in Cathedral Square. A gull swoops in and begins to squak. Suddenly a whole swarm lands to devour the bread. In the afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf trail out to Capitol Drive. At night watch “Mildred Pierce” (1945).

Wake up still sore from Orangetheory this week. Try various ways to end the pain. In the afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf trail to Prospect Avenue. Walk up North Avenue to Humboldt Avenue. Stop at the bridge over the Milwaukee River. Take a gorgeous picture of the full moon light over the ice. Listen to the Cincinnati Bengals end a 31 year drought by winning a playoff game over the Las Vegas Raiders.
