Russia invades Ukraine

In the morning drive to the courthouse for a hearing. Russia invades Ukraine. In the afternoon walk to the office. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk up the Oak Leaf trail out to North Avenue. Walk home. At night go to Orangetheory.

Frozen lagoon

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a couple of hearings. Drive to Sam’s Club. Buy a bunch of supplies. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on several files. In the late afternoon walk down to the lakefront. Walk out on the frozen lagoon. At night go to Orangetheory.

Covered in frozen ice

In the morning walk to the office. The sidewalks are covered in frozen ice. Proceed carefully. Walk home for lunch. In the afternoon walk back to the office. Work some more. Walk home. Later walk around downtown then down to the lakefront. The sidewalks are not frozen over as much as this morning.

All good by the end

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a couple of hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a short time. In the afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf trail out to Locust Street. Walk to UW-Milwaukee. Walk home as it gets dark. My legs were sore at the beginning of the walk but were all good by the end.

Wandering around

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Do a water change on the fish tank. In the afternoon it warms up. Gets near 50 degrees. Walk down to the lakefront. There are many people out wandering around. Walk up the Oak Leaf trail to North Avenue. Walk home.

Catching up

In the morning walk to the office. Work on catching up on everything. In the afternoon walk around downtown. Put out peanuts for the squirrels. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk north on the Oak Leaf trail.

Eye doctor

In the morning walk to the office. Do a sentencing hearing over Zoom. In the afternoon drive to the eye doctor’s office. Get a contact lens examination. Drive home. Walk down to the lakefront until it gets dark. Walk back home.

Winter is not done

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. Make a closing argument to the jury. In the afternoon the jury reaches a verdict. After court walk down to the lakefront. It is very cold today. Winter is not done. The more I walk, the more I warm up. Walk up the Oak Leaf trail out to North Avenue. Put peanuts all over the place as I walk. I see several squirrels running along the trail.

Hello gato!

In the morning drive back to the courthouse. Go in for more jury trial. Over the lunch break drive to Lorena’s house. No one is there except for a stray cat sitting under a tree. I yell out: “Hello gato!” to the cat. The cat runs down the street. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for more jury trial.

Xena loves Paw Patrol

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. Make opening statements. Start testimony. Over the lunch break drive to Lorena’s house. Xena is there again. Give her the Paw Patrol toys. She holds the box up like a trophy. She is so happy. Xena loves Paw Patrol. We play with the Paw Patrol dogs. We make up conversations they have with each other. Xena is full of imagination. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse. Cross examine several witnesses.
