Stop in the alley

In the morning walk to the office. Work to get ready for next week’s trial. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk along the lake out to Capitol Drive. Walk west to Holton Avenue. Walk south back downtown. Stop in an alley to look at the graffiti art.

Bumped to the afternoon

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Work on too many cases. My motion hearing gets bumped to the afternoon. Walk to the courthouse cafe. Eat a turkey wrap. In the afternoon do the motion hearing. Do a good job. Drive home. Lay on the couch and watch “Belfast” (2021).

Geese run after me

In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse for a hearing. Drive home. Walk around downtown and over to the lakefront. Put out corn for the ducks and the geese. Some of the geese run after me as I lay down piles of corn along the path of my retreat. Walk back home. At night go to Orangetheory.

Drive My Car

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Walk to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive out to Sam’s Club. Go in to buy Diet Coke and Ice Mountain Water. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. At night go to Orangetheory. Watch “Drive My Car” (2021).

They remember me still

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. In the afternoon walk in the rain downtown. Walk to the lakefront. My legs get really sore. Walk home. See the pair of geese in Cathedral Square again. They run to me. Put down some corn for them. They remember me still. At night watch “An Officer and a Gentleman” (1982).

The city skyline

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a jury trial. Case is dismissed. Go to the office. Work all morning preparing for another jury trial. In the afternoon walk south on 6th Street. Walk north to the lakefront. Walk out on a long pier. Turn around and take a picture of the city skyline. Walk north to Bradford Beach. Walk south back downtown. Take in the March Madness

In the morning walk to the office. Draft up a bunch of letters to clients. Walk to the post office. Drop the letters in the mail. Walk almost 40,00 steps all over the city. Stop at the Fiserv Forum to take in the March Madness.

Crossing the street

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. In the afternoon walk around downtown. Walk to the lakefront. Watch two geese cross the street. Walk up the Oak Leaf trail out to North Avenue. Go to Ian’s for pizza. Walk home.

Walk outside in the rain

In the morning drive to the Safety Building. Go in for a hearing. In the afternoon walk to the office. Get a bunch of stuff done. After work walk outside in the rain. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk back home.

Fall asleep on the couch

Wake up early. Walk to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. Drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive back to the office. Work some more. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Get stuck in court all afternoon. Drive home. Fall asleep on the couch.
