In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work all afternoon. Walk home. The Brewers blow the lead in the top of the 9th inning and lose to the Mets. Season over.
Brewers come back
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk north on Prospect Avenue. Stop for pizza. Walk home. The Brewers come back to beat the Mets and tie the playoff series.
The Brewers lose though
In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work a while. Walk home. Ride my bike west on National Avenue. The road is in terrible shape and the traffic is out of control. Park at 70th Street. Walk around West Allis. Ride home along the Hank Aaron trail instead. Turn my head to see that American Family Field is hosting post season baseball. The Brewers lose though.
Sun and the lake
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk down to the lakefront. Take in the sun and the lake. Walk back to the office. Work some more. Walk home.
Get better as the game goes on
In the morning drive to the Thunder Bay Grille. Park my car. Get a ride with Bryce and Heather up to Green Bay. Go to Lambeau Field. The Packers are terrible in the first half but get better as the game goes on. The comeback falls short and they lose to the Minnesota Vikings, 32-29.
Saturday in Brookfield
In the morning ride my bike to 124th and North Avenue. Walk around Brookfield. Walk west to Pilgrim Road. Walk north above Capitol Drive. Walk back to my bike. Ride home.
Yell and swear
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Hook up the new fish filter on the aquarium. Forget to install the seal on the cover of the filter. Spring a leak. Yell and swear. Mop it up. Reinstall everything properly. The new filter fires up. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for a quick hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk to the grocery store. Buy something from the deli. Walk home.
Busiest work day all year
In the morning drive ton the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Drive to Oak Creek. Buy a new filter for the fish tank. Drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive to McDonald’s. Stop in the parking lot of the That’s Amore! restaurant and eat lunch. Drive to the courthouse. Go and pick up discovery from the DA’s office. Walk over to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk back to the courthouse for more hearings. Walk to the jail for another consultation. Drive home. This was the busiest work day for me all year.
The riverwalk and the protest
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Walk over to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work all afternoon. Walk home. Walk along the riverwalk up to Brady Street. Walk up Farwell Avenue to Topper’s and get a pizza. Walk back home. Run across a Gaza/Lebanon protest. They carry signs and yell. Walk home.

Don’t sleep well at all. My right calf hurts all night long. Wake up and struggle to get going. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for a preliminary hearing. Walk over to the courthouse cafe. Eat a sandwich. Walk over to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. It is raining. Sit on the couch. End up watching the X-men sequel movie “X2” (2003). It continues to rain the rest of the day. Keep laying on the couch. Watch superhero cartoons and nothing else. Go to bed early.
