In the morning drive to the Park and Ride lot off Watertown Plank Road. Walk east to the Medical Complex. Walk around the various construction projects underway. Walk back to my car. Walk the whole route a second time. Drive home. Eat lunch. Walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk back home. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for a late afternoon hearing. Drive home.

Look at the new Mac computers

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. In the afternoon drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive out to Mayfair Mall. It is raining so hard that it is difficult to see the road or other cars. Go in to the Apple store to look at the new Mac computers. Drive to the Wauwatosa Police Station. Go in with a client to talk to a detective about doing some snitching. Drive home. The blinding rain starts up again.

Geese alongside the art museum

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a preliminary hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work the rest of the afternoon. Later walk down to the lakefront. Find a bunch of geese sitting alongside the art museum. Throw out bread to them. Continue walking to Northpoint. Walk back home.

Branch 31 bookshelf

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. No witnesses for the state show up. Case dismissed. Drive home. Eat lunch. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Stop to look at the “Branch 31 Bookshelf”. It says on the sign: “You are welcome to take one book with you on your way home!” Drive home without a book.

Gifford Elementary

In the morning drive to Caledonia. Walk east on Five Mile Road. Walk south on Highway 38. Walk back west on Northwestern Avenue. Walk past Gifford Elementary School. Walk through Franksville. Listen to the Packers victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Walk north back to my car. My left knee is on fire.

Walk by the Milwaukee Mile

In the morning walk to the office. Work on preparing case for trial on Monday. Walk home. Drive to the jail. Drop off the clothes I bought on Thursday for the client to wear at the trial. Drive to West Allis. Walk around. Walk by the Milwaukee Mile racetrack. Walk back to my car. Drive home.

In the drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. In the afternoon drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk over to the Safety Building. Go in for a plea and sentencing hearing. The judge goes way over the plea agreement. Drive home.

Halloween Winter

In the morning drive to the courthouse. It is snowing. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work some more. Walk home. It starts snowing again. Walk north to Locust Street. Along the way stop to toss out bread to some geese friends. Walk west to Humboldt Avenue. It snows harder and harder. It is slushy and nasty. Walk back home in the dark all wet and with very sore legs. Halloween Winter.
