Improved camera quality

In the morning lie around and do very little. Get a haircut at Noon. This gives me some new energy. Walk south to Bay View. Stop to take a picture of a bee on a flower with my iPhone. I am very impressed with the quality of the picture. The quality of the cameras in the iPhones continue to improve over the years. Walk to 16th Street. Stop at Los Comales. Enjoy a plate of tacos. Walk home.

Xena is in her phone

In the morning walk to the office. Work on sending out several billings for closed cases. Drive to Lorena’s house. Today Xena is in her phone playing a game. This game involves a man with a very long arm. Xena directs the long arm around obstacles to take objects away from people and places. She is very involved in this game. Drive home. Walk back to the office. Work all afternoon. Walk back down to the lakefront. Walk home as the sun sets.

Gold medal winner

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Do a preliminary hearing over Zoom. Walk home. Drive to Lorena’s house. Run up and down the sidewalk with Xena. Give her a little gold medal for winning our race. She is very proud of this accomplishment. Drive home. Walk back to the office. Work a little more. Walk along the lakefront to Brady Beach. Walk back downtown. Walk by Cathedral Square. Jazz in the Park is packed. Everything seems largely back to normal this summer after Covid wrecked the last two summers for everyone.

Raised bridge on Michigan Avenue

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Get caught in traffic by a boat under the raised bridge on Michigan Avenue. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive back home. Get caught again in traffic by the same boat under the raised bridge on Michigan Avenue. Go to Orangetheory. Try to go for a short walk afterwards but I am too sore from the workout and give up.

Blue skies are back!!

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Eat lunch. Walk back to the office. Work all afternoon. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk north to Northpoint. Walk along the river back downtown. Blue skies are back!!

Headache

In the morning wake up with a headache. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Still have a headache. Lay on the couch again for most of the day.

Five O’Clock Steakhouse

In the morning clean the kitchen while watching “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” (1993). In the afternoon walk down to the lakefront. Check out the Triathlon races. At night go to the Five O’Clock steakhouse for dinner. The steak is way to big to finish. Take home leftovers.

City Hall checking itself out

In the morning walk to the office. Work on a few files. Drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. In the afternoon do a competency hearing in the Safety Building. The client unsuccessfully pretends to be crazy in front of the judge. At night walk down to the lakefront. On my way home catch City Hall checking itself out in the mirror using the next door BMO Harris building.
