In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk to the Safety Building. Go in for a hearing. Walk over to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing there too. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the jail. Go in for another consultation. Walk to the Safety Building. Do another hearing. Drive home. Walk to the lakefront. Overcome significant resistance at first but continue to walk. Walk all the way to Lake Park. Walk back south along Murray Street.

Legs are wobbly

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive out to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home down Milwaukee Street. My legs are wobbly. My mind is tired too. Go to bed early.

Around the walking trail

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. In the afternoon put in additional time in the office. In the late afternoon walk down to the lakefront. The geese are hanging out all around the walking trail. Walk north to Lake Park. Walk past UW-Milwaukee. Walk south back home. At night watch “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981).

Clean the mirrors and windows

In the morning drive to Racine. Go in to the Racine Law Enforcement Center for a hearing. Drive back home. Use Windex to clean the mirrors and windows on my car. Walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. Put peanuts out on various trees for the squirrels. Walk to Northpoint. Follow along the river back downtown.

Walk past a Buddhist temple

In the morning drive to Good Hope Road. Walk south to Capitol Drive. Walk past a Buddhist temple. Walk west to Brookfield Road. Begin to struggle quite a bit and I am only half way done. Walk back to my car as the sun sets. Drive home. At night listen to the Green bay Packers get beat by the Detroit Lions. Knocked out of a playoff run. Season is over.

The Lannon Quarry

In the morning drive to Good Hope Road. Get out and walk west to Lannon. Walk through the town. Walk past the Lannon Quarry. Walk east on the Bugline trail out to Menomoee Falls. Drive home. At night watch “Ghostbusters” (1984).

Finally finishing the thing

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Eat lunch. Walk back to the office. Work some more. At night watch “Interview with the Vampire” (1994). After midnight the House of Representatives finally elects a Speaker of the House. Republicans almost launched into a fist fight on the floor of the House before finally finishing the thing.

Still no Speaker of the House

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Drive to Sam’s Club. Get cases of Ice Mountain water and Diet Coke. Drive home. Take a nap. In the late afternoon walk to the lakefront. Find a bunch of geese and throw bread chunks at them. They run right up to me. Walk to Northpoint. Stop at Ian’s for a slice of pizza. Walk along the river back downtown. The third day of voting in the House of Representatives. Still no Speaker of the House.

Republicans can’t run their own Congress

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. In the late afternoon walk west on Wisconsin Avenue to 27th Street. Walk south across the viaduct. Walk around Three Bridges Park. Walk east on Canal Street. Walk all the way to the eastern end of Wisconsin Avenue. Walk home. The second day of voting in the House of Representatives for Speaker of the House produces nothing. No Speaker of the House. Republicans can’t run their own Congress.

Hasn’t happened in 100 years

In the morning walk to the office. Despite feeling lazy, get a tremendous amount of work done. At night walk west on Wisconsin Avenue to 27th Street. Walk back east on St. Paul Avenue. Walk around Walker’s Point. Listen to the House of Representatives fail to elect a Speaker of the House on the first ballot. This hasn’t happened in 100 years.
