In the morning drive to Brookfield Road and Capitol Drive. Walk into Sendik’s to get fancy donuts. Walk north into some subvisions. Walk east to 117th Street. Walk south to North Avenue. It starts out partly sunny. Then dark clouds begin to move in. Then it gently rains. Then it fucking pours on me. Get back to my car soaking wet. Drive home.
In the morning walk to the office. Work briefly. Walk home. Clean out the filter on the fish tank. Find another fish living in the filter. It is much bigger than the last one I found in there. Put it in the aquarium. Think about Plato’s “The Allegory of the Cave” (380-360 BC). In the afternoon walk down to the lakefront. Throw out bread, seed and peanuts to the usual group of animal friends. Walk home.

In the morning drive to the courthouse for a plea and sentencing. Client gets a much better result than I thought he would. Drive home. Eat lunch. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse for more hearings. Drive home. Walk south to National Avenue. Walk back to Lake Michigan. Walk home.
