Prisons across the state

In the morning walk to the office. Spend all day on the phone talking to clients locked up in prisons across the state. Later drive to UW-Milwaukee. Get out and walk north to Hampton Avenue. Walk west tot eh Oak Leaf trail. Walk back to the car. Drive home.

Big East tournament championship

In the morning drive down to the Pleasant Prairie outlet mall. Buy a pair of shoes and a pair of shorts. Drive home. In the afternoon walk north to Locust Avenue. Walk east to Oakland Avenue. Walk home. At night watch Marquette beat Xavier to capture the Big East tournament championship.

Another snow day?

Wake up to a snowstorm. Court is cancelled. Another snow day? Yep. In the afternoon walk north on Martin Luther King Drive to Locust Street. Walk east to Oakland Avenue. Walk home.

Free Your Mind or Freeze Your Mind?

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. A judge appoints me to two new clients. In the afternoon go in to the Safety Building for another quick hearing. There is a long afternoon in front of me. Decide to walk north to Locust Street. See graffiti work with a dual message. “Free Your Mind” or “Freeze Your Mind”? Which way to go? Walk home as a snowstorm begins to hit.

Clouds begin to break apart

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk over to the courthouse. Go in for a jury trial. Case is adjourned. Walk back to the jail for another consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work the rest of the afternoon. Later walk down to the lakefront. The clouds begin to break apart.

All the work I did today

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk over to preliminary hearing court. Go in for a contested hearing. Walk back to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Take my Mac Book in to play a video for the client. It is extremely inculpatory. In the afternoon go back to preliminary hearing court for more contested hearings. Drive home. Walk back to the office to work some more. Walk home impressed with all the work I did today.

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. In the afternoon work at the office. Build my to do list for the rest of the week. Later walk down to the lakefront.

Arby’s

In the morning walk to the office. Pack up my cases for next week. Walk home. Later walk south to Bay View. Walk to Lincoln Avenue. Walk west to Miller Park Way. Stop at the Arby’s. Eat a sandwich. Walk back home.

Complain about the dessert

In the morning clean up around the house. In the afternoon watch Marquette hang on to win a close game against St. John’s. Drive to Heather’s house. Celebrate Emmet’s birthday. The kids and I complain about the dessert.
