Don't Worry, Be Happy
In the morning clean up the home while it is raining. Drive to MSDF. Go in for a consultation. It is still raining. Drive home. Watch the Packers beat the Tennessee Titans, 30-14. Walk down the lakefront. It starts raining even harder. Walk home. Lay on the couch while it continues to rain and rain and rain.
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. In the afternoon ride my bike out to Greenfield. Walk south on Layton Avenue. Walk though Konkel Park. See a crane standing in a stream. See it slowly fly away too. Walk back to my bike. Ride home.
In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. Walk home. Ride my bike to 76th Street. Walk around West Allis. Walk back to my bike. Ride home. Hot and sunny. Summer is hanging on this year.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Ride my bike to 70th street. Get out and walk around West Allis. It is very hot and sunny out here. Still just like summer.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for four hearings. Get stuck waiting for the last hearing while the court is finishing up a jury trial. Sit in the hallway and watch electricians puling wires out of the ceiling. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Ride my bike to 60th Street. Get out and walk around West Allis. See a squirrel in a cemetery eating an acorn while sitting on a gravestone. Walk back to my bike. Ride home.
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk to Third Street. Stop at a bar and get a BLT and french fries. Walk to the office. Work some more. Walk home. Ride my bike to 60th Street. Walk south to Lincoln Avenue. Walk west to 102nd Street. Walk back to my bike. Ride home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trials. One settles and the other one gets dismissed. Drive home. Take a nap. Ride my bike to Havenwoods State Forest. Walk around. Ride home.
In the morning drive south to Apple Holler. Cars parked everywhere. Most of the cars are from Illinois. Walk south into the Town of Paris. Walk down empty roads. Walk by corn stalks. Walk by a little cemetery. Walk back to my car. Drive home.
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Ride my bike to 92nd and Oklahoma Avenue. Stop in at the Fish Factory to get a new tank filter intake strainer. Ride home. Install the new strainer and clean the fish tank while watching old Donny and Marie shows from the 1970’s on Youtube.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Walk over to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Client is in a bad mood. He shouts and screams at me. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. Drive home. Walk along the lakefront to UW-Milwaukee. Walk back downtown. At night finish watching “Franklin” (2024). The series focused on the years Benjamin Franklin spent in France successfully persuading King Louis XVII to support the American Revolution. Tonight, Franklin negotiates a deal directly with Great Britain to end the war while doubling the size of the United States.
