In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Eat lunch. Walk back to the office. Work a little more. Walk home. Walk south to National Avenue again. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk through the empty parking lots surrounding Summerfest. Walk home.

In the morning drive to the courthouse for a plea and sentencing. Client gets a much better result than I thought he would. Drive home. Eat lunch. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse for more hearings. Drive home. Walk south to National Avenue. Walk back to Lake Michigan. Walk home.

Equalizer 3

In the morning walk to the office. Struggle to get anything done. Walk home. Take a several hour nap. Wake up. Move to the couch. Watch “The Equalizer 3” (2023). The Equalizer takes on the mafia in a little village in Sicily.

Do an interview

In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for consultations. Drive to the downtown jail. Go in for more consultations. Drive home. Walk up to the municipal building to early vote. Do an interview for the local television news. Walk down to the lakefront. Find geese, ducks and squirrels. Throw out seeds and bread and peanuts. Walk home.

In the morning drive to the courthouse for jury trial. Case is adjourned. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk around downtown. People are drinking on a Monday afternoon because St. Patrick said so. Walk back home.

The end is pleasant

In the morning wake up to a snowstorm. There are high winds so the snow cuts into me. Drive to 84th and Wisconsin. Walk west to Highway 100. Walk north to North Avenue. Walk west to Lily Road. Walk north to Burleigh Road. Walk east along the river all the way back to my car. The sun breaks out and the end of the walk is pleasant.

Boomers yell at me

In the morning the plumbers arrive to fix things for me. Kristine does not work on Saturdays so she isn’t there. Everything goes smoothly anyway. Walk down to the lakefront. Throw out seed to some geese. A couple of boomers yell at me but I pretend not to hear them.

Kristine is there

In the morning wait for the plumbers to show up. Kristine is there. She and her co-worker check out the problems and agree to come back Saturday to do the repairs. I give Kristine $100 on the side as a tip. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse for hearings. Drive home. Walk around downtown for awhile. Walk home.
