Between Waukesha and Washington

In the morning drive to the border between Waukesha and Washington County. Walk north to Holy Hill Road. Walk west a ways. Walk south again. Walk back to my car. Out here over six hours. Drive home in a daze.

All of our wars

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk out to Lakeshore State Park. Walk across the island. Walk west to the Post Office. Send out a package to a client in prison. Walk home.

Sweet sentence

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Drive home. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse for a plea and sentencing hearing. Client gets a sweet sentence for getting caught with a huge amount of drugs. Drive home. Walk to the grocery store. Walk home.

Swirling around

In the morning walk to the office. Work to catch up on things. Walk home. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. There is a rainstorm swirling around the entire midwest and we are caught in it all day and all night.

No matter the outcome

In the morning drive to the courthouse. It is raining very hard. Go in for jury trial. It rains the rest of the day. The jury reaches a verdict. No matter the outcome, I did a fine job. Drive home.

Eat them in the car. Drive to Wauwatosa. Walk north on 84th Street. Walk east to 70th Street. Walk through two different construction zones. Walk back to my car. Drive home.

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Get ready for trial next week. Walk home. Walk south to Walker’s Point. Walk north through the Marquette campus. Walk to the old Pabst Brewery. Walk east by the Fiserv Forum. Walk home.
