In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk back to the office. Work a bit more. Walk down to the lakefront. See geese marching past the General Douglas MacArthur statue. The geese are proudly squawking: “we shall return!” Walk north to Lake Park. Walk back home.

In the morning drive to Oconomowoc. Walk north to Okauchee Lake. Walk south back to my car. Walk over 7 and a half hours and pass 40,000 steps. Listen to a podcast discussing the carrer of Whitney Houston. Drive home.

Hitting the wall this week

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. In the afternoon walk to Cesar Chavez Drive. Stop at Los Comales for tacos. The waitress knows my order before I can say anything. Unfortunately they are not watching a telenovela. Walk home. I am hitting the wall this week. Go to bed early again.

Long day

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Walk to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive to the Children’s Courthouse detention center. Go in for a consultation with a juvenile defendant. See two geese behind the courthouse. Drive home. Have to take a different route to get around the traffic jam for Brewers opening day. The Brewers crush the Chicago Whitesox, 14-2. Drive back to the courthouse in the afternoon for sentencing hearings. Drive home. Go to bed early. Long day.
