In the morning walk to the office. Work on several things. Get files ready for the rest of the week. Walk home. Walk to Zeidler Square. It is very cold. Only see one squirrel. Put out peanuts and sunflower seeds. Walk over to Wisconsin Avenue. See and hear a homeless man screaming at the wind. Keep walking by.
Unmarked graves
In the morning drive to Pleasant Prairie. Park in a church parking lot. While other people walk into the church I walk south on the frontage road. Walk for several hours. Walk past a little cemetery with mostly unmarked graves. Also see a hawk sitting along the road. Walk back to my car. Drive home.
Stretches out my shadow
In the morning drive to Kenosha. Park in the Woodman’s lot again. Walk east on Highway 50 again. Turn south and traverse country roads. The sun stretches out my shadow as I make it back to my car. Drive home.
Only Discover accepted here
In the morning drive to Kenosha. It is very cold and windy. Walk east down Highway 50. Turn around eventually and walk back to my car. It is parked in a Woodman’s lot. Go in to try and buy a loaf of bread. They only accept Discover cards for payment. Walk out with nothing. Drive home.
Rescue
In the morning clean out the fish tank filter while watching “Interstellar” (2014). See a very tiny fish in the bathtub just as I was about to wash the gunk down the drain. It was living inside the tank filter. Rescue it and put it back in the tank. In the afternoon drive to Heather’s house for Thanksgiving.
Good effort
In the morning walk to the office. Get a great amount of work done. Feel good about my effort. Walk home. Walk around downtown. Walk back home.
Find
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. In the afternoon walk down to the lakefront. Find geese and throw out bread to them. Find squirrels all over the place and put out peanuts and sunflower seeds. Walk home.
Struggle with a headache
In the morning struggle to get going. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Struggle with a headache the rest of the day. Lay on the couch and watch “Oh, God! You Devil” (1984).
Beat up on the 49ers
In the morning drive back to Kenosha. Walk back down to the lakefront. Walk out to the shore. Walk out on the pier. Walk back to my car. Listen to the Packers beat up on the 49ers. Drive home.
Ruins the whole season
In the morning drive to Kenosha. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk along busy country roads. Walk until it gets dark. Listen to Harvard lose The Game to Yale. Ruins the whole season in my opinion. Drive home.
