In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Walk south to Walker’s Point again. Walk to 16th Street. Go to the Comales for tacos again. There is a violent gangster movie on the television this time. There is a shootout at a quincenera. Total death and devastation. Everyone at the restaurant continues to calmly eat and chat like usual. Walk home in a slight drizzle.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Watch “Doctor Who”. Drive back to the courthouse in the afternoon. Go in for more hearings. Drive home. Walk to 16th Street. Walk down to the Comales. Eat tacos while watching a telenovela. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive to the Children’s Courthouse. Go in to the detention area. Do a consultation. Drive to the House of Correction. Go in for another consultation. Drive home. Feel exhausted. Drag myself to the nearest Hop station. Get on board and ride it to my office. Go in and work for a while. Walk home. Get a burst of energy. Walk south to Walker’s Point again. Walk west on Canal Street. Walk up to Marquette University. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on drafting reply brief. It is raining and hailing outside. File it. Walk home. The sunshine comes out. Walk to the Walker’s Point. Walk over to the 6th Street bridge. Walk west to Marquette. Turn around and walk home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Walk over to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk south to Freshwater Way. Walk past the Rite-Hite corporate headquarters. Rite–Hite manufactures loading dock equipment, industrial doors and other in-plant products. Keep walking west to 13th Street. Walk back home.
In the morning drive to Racine. Walk around an old cemetery. There are people buried there that died in the 19th century. There is a grave of a soldier who died in combat in World War II. There is a gold star medallion at his grave. Walk back to the car. It starts raining. Go to the grocery store. Drive home. Later after the rain stops walk around downtown Milwaukee.
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Ride my bike to 76th Street. Get out and walk around West Allis. The sun and warm temperatures break out. Very nice. Walk all the way west to Highway 100. Turn around and walk back to my bike. Ride home. At night watch “The In-Laws” (1979).
