Don't Worry, Be Happy
Wake up and go down to start the car and the battery is dead. Ride the Hop to Pick N’Save to get groceries. Call Lorena for help. Her son Riskky and his girlfriend Cynthia come to give my battery a jump. Drive to Firestone to get a new battery. Walk up and down 27th Street in the rain. Walk to the office to get ready for the workweek while listening to the Bucks blow out the Sacramento Kings. Watch the Packers lose to the Patriots and go to bed.
30 minutes on the Elliptical. Ride the hop in the morning. Ride the hop at night. Walk up Prospect Avenue. Walk all the way to UW-Milwaukee. Watch the 2nd Half of the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Tournament Championship. Milwaukee beats Cleveland State 1-0.
Go to the State Public Defender conference at the Hyatt Hotel. Stop at Cathedral Square to see the mayor announce the opening of the Hop streetcar. Go to Orange Theory. Ride the Hop to the end of the line. Walk up Prospect Avenue and back down Farwell Avenue. Ride the Hop back to the Third Ward.
Go to the State Public Defender conference at the Hyatt Hotel. Go to Ian’s for a slice of Pizza for lunch. Tired most of the day. Go to bed early.
Walk up to the courthouse to pick up discovery from the District Attorney’s Office. Go to the office to work. Go to Orange Theory. Watch NBA League Pass.
Go to the office and get a tremendous amount of work done. Feeling very positive and full of energy. Walk to McDonalds for dinner. Frustration sets in as I try to clean and restart one of the filters on the fish aquarium.
Go to the office and get almost nothing accomplished. Go home and take a nap. Overwhelming feelings of ennui attack me all day. Watch old Star Trek episode “Spectre of the Gun” (1968). Go to Orange Theory and struggle during the workout. Listen to the Bucks defeat the Toronto Raptors to stay undefeated at 7-0.
Walk along the lakefront to the Brady Street Bridge. Walk up St. Paul Avenue to 13th Street then across the Marquette Campus and north to the Pabst development. Go to the Fiserv Forum party block. Listen and watch the Packers blow the game and lose to the Los Angeles Rams.
Walk along the lakefront to the Brady Street Bridge. Watch episodes of the new season of Dr. Who. Go with my father, my sister and her husband to Mo’s Steak House. Have surf and turf, french onion soup, two Starburst Martinis, and a decadent dessert.
Work around the house all day cleaning. Water change for the fish. Go to Orange Theory. Go out on a date with LaTia. Go to a movie theater in Waukesha but the movie is sold out. Go to the Chancery for fish fry. Go to Potawatomi Casino and sit by the slot machines and talk the night away. Go home around midnight and listen to Beatles music on Youtube. Poor night of sleep.
