Beautiful sunny day. Walk up Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to North Avenue. Walk west on North Avenue to Fond du Lac Avenue. Walk back downtown. Listen to the Badgers get upset by Illinois. At night walk along the lakefront then turn up the Brady Street Bridge. Walk down Prospect Avenue. Then walk west and cut across the river over a small bridge. Walk back downtown. The city is bustling with people going to bars, concerts and other events.

Washington Park

Go to the Criminal Justice Facility in the morning for a sentencing hearing. Drive to Racine. Walk east on Washington Avenue. Walk around in Washington Park. Walk down to the Twin Disc factory. Walk north to 6th Street. Walk past the Jefferson Lighthouse school. Go to court for another sentencing hearing. Drive home. At night walk along the lakefront to Northpoint. Walk up North Avenue. Walk along the river back downtown.

Flight for Life

Go to court for jury trial. Present a closing argument to the jury. Wait for verdict. Go home. Walk along the lakefront to Northpoint. Eat a cheeseburger at the custard stand while watching the Flight for Life helicopter swoop in to pick up someone needing medical help. Walk up North Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Walk back downtown.

My legs and quadriceps are on fire

Wake up incredibly sore. My legs and quadriceps are on fire. It hurts to walk. Drive to Racine. Go to court for a sentencing hearing. Drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on a couple of projects. Walk home. Sleep on the couch. Decide to take a night off from walking. Rest up.

Cool and calm night in the city

In the morning drive to Racine. Go to the jail for consultations. Go to Washington Avenue. Stop at a Chinese restaurant. Order sesame chicken and fried rice. Go for a short walk around the subdivisons north of Washington Avenue. Drive to the Racine Correctional Institution. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on a couple of projects. Go to Orange Theory. At night walk to the post office to mail out a couple of packages. Walk north to Fiserv Forum. Walk along the river to North Avenue. Walk to Farwell Avenue. Walk south back downtown. There is a full moon rising in the sky. It is a cool and calm night in the city. Listen to the Packers exciting comeback win over the Detroit Lions.

Weak body and spirit

In the morning walk along the lakefront to the Brady Street bridge. See the walkers out to raise awareness of suicide prevention. In the afternoon walk along the lakefront to Whitefish Bay. Walk until it is dark. Get home again with sore legs and feet. My body and my spirit are weak from all the walking and exercise I have been doing lately. Listen to NFL games.

Walk south to 6th and Rogers. Go look to see if Lorena is home. She is not. Listen to Wisconsin shut out Michigan State 38-0. At night walk along the lakefront to Capitol Drive. Stop at Culver’s for a sundae. Walk back downtown. Listen to Notre Dame hang on to beat USC 30-27. Get home late at night and with very sore legs and feet.
