Don't Worry, Be Happy
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for three preliminary hearings. Go to another courtroom for a sentencing hearing. Drive home. Eat lunch. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another preliminary hearing and a restitution hearing. Drive home. Walk north to the Downer Avenue Sendik’s. Stop at the deli and get food for dinner. Walk home. My upper back hurts again.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a preliminary hearing. Walk around the courthouse. Find a bench. Sit there for an hour. Walk to another courtroom for a late morning hearing. Drive home. Eat lunch. Walk to the office. Do a consultation with a client over Zoom. Walk home. Walk north on Water Street to Brady Street. Walk to North Avenue. Walk east to Farwell Avenue. Walk south back downtown.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a preliminary hearing. Walk over to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Eat lunch. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk around downtown while listening to songs from the band “Genesis”.
In the morning walk to the office. Work on a variety of matters. Walk home. East lunch. In the afternoon walk north all the way to Sendik’s on Downer Avenue. Get food from their deli for dinner. Walk home. Eat the food from the deli.
In the morning drive to the courthouse for two jury trials. One is adjourned and the other one is dismissed. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on many things. Walk home. Try to go for a walk but get too tired. Walk back home. At night watch “Blue Thunder” (1983).
In the morning drive north on I-43. Drive west to Donges Bay Road. Get out and walk north to Pioneer Road. Walk west to Wausaukee Road. Walk south back to my car. It was a gorgeous sunny day.Drive home.
In the morning walk to the office. Work on getting cases ready for trial on Monday. Walk home. Drive to Layton Avenue. Walk around Mitchell International Airport. See several planes go in for landing. Walk all around the exterior of the entire facility. Walk to Denny’s. Get pancakes and bacon to go. Drive home. Eat pancakes for dinner.
In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Walk to the office. Draft a motion with legal authority to throw out inculpatory evidence in a case. Walk home. Walk north on Water Street. Walk east on Brady Street. Walk north on Farwell Avenue. Walk north to Sendik’s. Go to their deli to get items for dinner. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on a bunch of stuff. Walk home. Eat lunch. Walk up Water Street over to Brady Street. Watch a crane working against a bright blue sky. Walk north to Locust Avenue. Walk east to Downer Avenue. Stop at the Sendick’s deli to get something to eat for dinner. Walk back home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Drive to the jail. Walk over to MSDF for a consultation. Walk back to the courthouse. Go in for a late afternoon plea and sentencing hearing. Drive home.
