In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in to the clerk’s office to obtain documents for a case I am working on. Drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation with the same client related to those documents. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work the rest of the afternoon on a motion using the documents. Walk home. It is still really cold.

In the morning walk to the office. Work on getting files ready for next week. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. It is very cold and windy too. My face hurts. Listen to the top 40 countdown from this weekend in 1977. The number one song is “Car Wash” by Rose Royce.

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a bit. Walk to Scott Free salon. Get a haircut. Walk home. Drive to Pick N’ Save in Bay View. Buy a ton of groceries so I don’t have to do this again for a while. Drive home. Lay on the couch.

Days like this are when the seed I put out for the birds that is critical to their survival. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Take a nap. Keep the heat up more than I normally do. There is frost all over the window frames.

In the morning do a telephone consultation with a client up north in prison. Drive to the courthouse. Walk over to the jail for a consultation. In the afternoon go in for two lengthy hearings. In one hearing I testify as a witness. I knock it out of the park. Drive home.
