Angel dancing on the grill

Go to Pick N’Save in the morning to buy groceries. Walk to the office. Work on a variety of things. Catch up on alot of work. Order a pizza from Pizza Shuttle. Walk back home. Drive to the car wash. Vacuum the inside and get a wash. Drive to Valvoline for an oil change. Go to Meiji Cuisine for Elise’s Birthday. Take a picture of the flames shooting out from the grill. I can see an angel is dancing in the flames. This means good luck for everyone at our table. Go back to Heather’s house for cake and presents for Elise.

End of the tunnel

Go to the Safety Building for a sentencing hearing and a pre-trial. Sit around all morning. Go home for lunch. Hit the end of the tunnel. So very tired. Take a nap. Watch youtube videos. Go to bed early.

Opening Day 2019

Go to the Safety Building in the morning for jury verdict. Go to the jail for consultations. Walk up Prospect Avenue to North Avenue. Walk back downtown along the river. Listen to the Brewers beat the St. Louis Cardinals on Opening Day of the baseball season.

Staying focused in battle

Go to the Safety Building for jury trial. Spend as much time in the cell behind the courtroom talking to the client as I do being in front of the jury. Client and his family are stressed. I stay focused throughout. End with a strong performance when I argue the case to the jury. Cancel Orange Theory because my left knee is acting up. Go to bed early.

Lunch again at Marquette

Go to the Safety Building in the morning to resume the jury trial. Walk back to the Marquette Union to have lunch with the students. Today is a cup of chili and more of that delicious chocolate pudding. Walk outside and see the leftover cupcakes from yesterday’s food fight still all over the grass and sidewalk. Walk back to the Safety Building for more jury trial.

Food fight at Marquette

Go to the Safety Building in the morning for jury trial. Walk to the Marquette Union for lunch. Eat tacos and a delicious serving of chocolate pudding with the college students in the cafeteria. While walking outside see a bunch of female college students at a table throwing cupcakes at each other. Food fight at the college. Walk back to the Safety Building. Pick a jury. Go to Orange Theory.

Rolling through March

Go to Pick N’ Save in the morning to grocery shop. Later walk to the office to do trial prep for tomorrow. In the afternoon walk along the lakefront to Northpoint Tower then west on North Avenue. Walk along the river back downtown. Do a water change on the fish tank. This month is going by fast.

Baby Shower

Go to Sam’s Club in the morning to get soda and water. Walk to the office and scan files until my scanner goes down. Drive to Latia’s house for her baby shower. Give her my present. Take a picture with her. Tell her she is beautiful. She walks me out to my car. We hug and say good night.

More March Madness

Drive to Racine in the morning for status hearing. Drive back to Milwaukee. Go to the courthouse for another hearing. Go to the Safety Building for a motion hearing. Run back over to the courthouse for another motion hearing. Go to the courthouse cafe for lunch. Walk around the Safety Building. Stop in a court in the Safety Building for another hearing. Go to the Criminal Justice Facility for a preliminary hearing. Walk to the office to drop off the large stack of files I carried around for the last two days. Walk to the Fiserv Forum. Buy some Milwaukee Bucks baby clothes and a Bango doll for Latia’s baby shower. Stop by the Bucks Party Block to see Wisconsin lose their NCAA tournament game. Walk to Best Fish to get some worms for the fish’s dinner. Walk over to Potbelly for a turkey sandwich. Do a water change on the fish tank.

March Madness

Go to the Safety building in the morning for a sentencing hearing. Go to the courthouse cafe for lunch. Go to a quiet corner of the courthouse to make a phone call to Green Bay prison to talk to a client. Go back to the Safety Building for more hearings. Walk to Pick N’ Save in the afternoon to do some grocery shopping. On the way there see a small crowd gathered around a television screen watching Marquette get blown out in the NCAA tournament.
