They work great

In the morning go to the Criminal Justice Facility for a couple of hearings. Walk to the office in the afternoon. Walk back home. The AirPods arrived today! The set up is super easy. I try them out. They work great. Go for a walk. Walk along the lakefront. Walk to the Brady Street bridge. Head across the bridge and then go north on the Oak Leaf Trail to Capitol Drive. Out of habit, I off and on reach around to adjust the cords on the ear pods and realize they are not there. The old ear pods used to get so tangled up. Sometimes they got so twisted that it made me swear. Not any more! These new AirPods require no effort to wear. They did however run out of power towards the end of the walk. I just popped them into the charging case. The recharge went pretty quick. They were ready to go again for several hours. That was not needed as I was already back home. Very satisfied with this new Apple product.

Let my mind relax

In the morning walk to the office. Get a reasonable amount of work done. In the afternoon try to work some more on the book. Get frustrated. Make little progress on it. Go for a walk. Walk along the lakefront. I let my mind relax. The ideas open up to me. I sort out the difficulties I was having organizing the outline for the first third of the book. Feel great. Walk all the way to UW-Milwaukee. Walk south through Lake Park. Walk back down to the lakefront. Walk back downtown. Listen to the last part of an audiobook on Russian History. Learn all about the fall of Communism and the failure of democracy to take hold in the new Russia. At night walk back to the office to get files ready for tomorrow. Return to the book and get frustrated with it all over again. Lay on the couch and let my mind return to a relaxed state. Very nice. The book is back on track. I go to bed tonight quite satisfied that the book is going to be very special.

Not crowded today

In the morning drive to Racine. Go to the Law Enforcement Center for a hearing. The client is brought to court with a face mask. Argue for a bail reduction. Granted. Drive back to Sam’s Club. Not crowded today. Shopping is a pleasant experience. In the afternoon walk along the lakefront to Northpoint. At sunset walk up the Oak Leaf Trail to Prospect Avenue. Walk west on North Avenue. Follow the river walk back downtown. Walk by the Fiserv Forum. Think about all the Bucks games that have been cancelled.

The philosophy of Frederick Nietzsche

In the morning drive to Racine. Go to the old public visitation booths in the Law Enforcement Building. Sit there for an hour waiting to see the client. An argument breaks out between inmates on the other side of the glass. My client gets into the argument. He can’t help it. He is drawn to conflict like a bee is to honey. Drive to Sam’s Club. The lines are very long. Frustrating. I hate slow people. Fucking hate that. Get home and crash out. Watch Youtube videos discussing the philosopy of Frederick Nietzsche.

Sandburg Residence Hall

In the morning start out towards the lakefront. I am skeptical that I will get very far. It is windy and gray out here. My legs are sore. I am not inspired. The more I walk the better it gets. Walk all the way to Northpoint. Walk down Farwell Avenue and up Brady Street. In the afternoon set out on a much longer walk. Walk up the Oak Leaf Trail to Edgewood Avenue. Walk south on Maryland Avenue. Cut through UW-Milwaukee. Walk up to the Sandburg Residence Halls. The dorms are emptied out. The whole school is sut down. There is no one out here. Walk through Lake Park. Walk down to the lakefront. Wander back downtown. At night pop up to the office to pick up some files for tomorrow. Go over 40,000 steps.

Bluer than usual

In the morning take a ride on the Nordic Trak. Work more on the book. In the afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf trail to Locust Street. Walk east to the lakefront. Walk out to the lake. The water looks bluer than usual. Walk back downtown. At night take a short walk to the train station and back.

Northpoint Water Tower

In the morning walk to the office. Sore legs and feet. Work all morning. In the afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf Trail to Prospect Avenue. Walk to Ian’s. Order a slice of pizza. Walk over to the Northpoint Water Tower. Eat the slice of pizza while looking out on the lakefront. It is windy and cold. Walk back to Prospect Avenue. Walk south back downtown.

Closed to the public

In the morning go to the office. Work until lunch time. In the afternoon walk along the Oak Leaf Trail out to Capitol Drive. Walk east to Lake Drive. Walk south through Lake Park then down to the lakefront. Walk across Lakeshore State Park at sunset. The Governor ordered the park closed to the public starting tonight.

Waiting to vote

In the morning go to the office. Work until the afternoon. Walk along the Oak Leaf Trail to Capitol Drive. Along the way stop at Riverside High School to look at the very long line of cars. All these people waiting for their turn to vote. Walk east to Lake Drive. Walk south through Lake Park. Walk back downtown.
