In the morning do a filter clean on the fish tank. The new more powerful filter isn’t as mucked up as the last one would get. In the afternoon walk down to Polish Fest. First time in three years this is going on. Walk along the lakefront to Northpoint. Walk along the river back downtown. See geese in a parking lot and give them food. Walk home.


In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go to several hearings: some live and some Zoom. Walk south to Lincoln Avenue. Walk to Cesar Chavez Drive. Stop at the Comales for tacos. See a poster for a “Lost Cat!”. Gato Perdido.

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse. Sit around all afternoon for a case that doesn’t get heard by the court. They are too busy. Enjoy hanging out with the prosecutors in the hallway trading stories. It is a beautiful afternoon. Walk to the lakefront.

Rain all day. Have a headache all day. Do nothing all day.

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Lay on the couch in the afternoon. Not motivated to do much else.

In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive to Lorena’s house. Play in the backyard with Xena. Today Xena is trapped inside a tornado. I spin her around and around and around. Xena falls to the ground in a deliriously dizzy state. In the afternoon walk around the lakefront in the bright sunshine.
