No one shows up

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. It is very cold this morning. Put out seed for the ducks. No one shows up. Drive home. Walk up to the office. Do several court hearings using my desktop computer. Work on several projects. Finish everything. Walk home. Work around the house. At night go to Orangetheory. Have difficulty sleeping again because my legs hurt so much.

Sad about that

In the morning walk down to the lagoon while listening to Musica Antiqua on WORT-FM from Madison, Wisconsin. It snowed overnight. The seed from yesterday is gone. The ducks picked through the snow and ate everything. Put down more seed. Walk to the office. Get files ready for tomorrow. Walk home. In the afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf trail out to Capitol Drive. Walk east to Lake Drive. Walk south back home. Listen to the Green Bay Packers lose the NFC championship game. Sad about that. My feet and legs and shoulders hurt too.

Wayne Manor

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks. They are not there. Drive home. Later walk down to the lagoon. The seed is still there. Where are the ducks? Walk home. In the late afternoon walk up Prospect Avenue to Northpoint. See a mansion that makes me think of Wayne Manor from the Batman comics. Walk home. Watch “Logan’s Run” (1976).

Build the shelving

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work on several things. Walk home. Take a nap. Build the shelving I ordered for the utility closet. Very pleased. Watch “Batman vs. Superman” (2016).

Breaking over the horizon

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks. They fly above me. The sunrise is breaking over the horizon. It is beautiful. Drive down to Racine. Go in to the jail for a consultation. Drive to the House of Correction. Go in for another consultation. Drive home. Walk back down to the lagoon. Put out more seed for the ducks. Walk home. Go to Orangetheory at night. Watch “Adventures in Babysitting” (1987).

Inauguration

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Listen to the news on the radio that Donald Trump has left the White House. Finally!! Put out seed for the ducks. There is a dusting of snow all around the Bodhi tree. No ducks out here this morning. Drive home. Watch the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. While watching clean out the utility closet. Measure it up for shelving. Order the shelving. Do a water change on the fish tank. By the time I am done doing all of that the transfer of power in Washington D.C. is over. Drive to the jail. Go in for a couple of consultations. Later go to the courthouse for a preliminary hearing. Drive home. At night go to Orangetheory. Watch an HBO documentary on the Bee Gees.

Clean coat

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. No ducks there. Put out seed. Drive home. Do court hearings while sitting on my couch. Drive to Lorena’s house. Pick up my coat that she cleaned for me. Drive home. Walk back down to the lagoon. Put out more seed. No ducks. I walk away. From a distance I look back and see that the ducks are now there. Sneaky. Walk home. At night walk to the office while snow flurries fall around me. Watch the movie “Ready Player One” (2018).

Watching a duck run on ice

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. The ducks are waiting for me. Put down piles of seed. Other ducks fly in. They land on the ice. They run up to the Bodhi tree. Nothing is funnier than watching a duck run on ice! Drive home. Walk up to the office. Work all morning. In the afternoon take a nap. Work around the house. Go to Orangetheory at night. Watch “The Electric Horseman” (1979).

They recognize my car

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. The ducks start circling above as my car pulls up. They recognize my car. Get out and put out seed for them. The ducks circle and circle then land feet first. Some on the ground and some on the ice. They all run to the piles of seed. Drive back home. Put more seed in a back pack. Walk back down to the lagoon. The ducks are gone now. Put down more piles of seed. In the afternoon walk to Bay View. I am tired again today. Walk to Lincoln Avenue. Walk up to 1st Street. Walk back home. Go to bed early.

Packers playoff win

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. The ducks are waiting for me. Put out seed for them. Walk to the office. Work for a little while. Walk home. In the late afternoon walk up the Oak Leaf Trail out to Capitol Drive. Walk back south down Oakland Avenue to Brady Street. Stop at Nomad to watch the end of the Packers playoff win. Walk home. Sleep poorly at night.
