Not much of a workout tonight

In the morning drive to the Safety Building. Go in for two jury trials. One of them is dismissed. The other one pleads out. Drive to Lorena’s house. Hang out with Xena. Drive home. Take a nap. Go to Orangetheory. My left knee is very tender. Not much of a workout tonight.

Wind Point Lighthouse

In the morning walk down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Walk to the office. Pack up files for Monday. Get frustrated when some PDF’s won’t print out. Walk home. Clean the kitchen. In the afternoon ride my bike down to the Wind Point Lighthouse. Sit on a bench and eat crackers. Ride my bike back home while listening to the Milwaukee Bucks win over the Brooklyn Nets. The playoff series is now tied at 2-2.

A bit slow

In the morning walk down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Walk home. Drive to the jail for a consultation. The client is a bit slow. In the afternoon ride my bike west on the Hank Aaron trail out to the end. Ride home. Rest on the couch. At night watch “The Passion of Joan of Arc” (1928).

International Assassin

In the morning drive to the office. Do a couple of hearings over Zoom. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for a preliminary hearing. Walk to the office. Work in the afternoon. Walk home. At night watch my favorite episode of The Leftovers: “International Assassin”.

Xena is in her castle

In the morning walk to the office. Do court hearings over Zoom. Drive to Lorena’s house. Hang out with Xena. She climbs the stairs to the house next door. Xena is in her castle. She is so full of imagination. Drive back to the office. Work for a while. Go to Orangetheory. At night walk to the Fiserv Forum. A large crowd is gathered outside to watch the Bucks playoff game. The Bucks win.

Paleta

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a quick hearing. Walk to the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility. Go in for a consultation. Drive to the House of Correction. Go in for another consultation. Drive to Lorena’s house. Hang out on the sidewalk with Xena. Give her money for a paleta. She walks up to the man and hands him the money. He hands her the delicious paleta. She eats it while playing with me on the sidewalk. Drive back home. Walk to the office. Work some more. Go to Orangetheory.

Sit at the little table

In the morning walk to the office. Work all morning. Drive to Lorena’s house. Have lunch with Xena. We sit at the little table. Xena does some painting on her little color by number project. Drive back home. Walk to the office. Work again. Walk down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Later walk to Brady Street and back home.

Best friends

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Drive to Lorena’s house. Play in the yard with Xena. We are best friends. Drive back home. Do a phone consultation with an incarcerated client. Take a nap. At night go to Orangetheory.

Fort Coshconong

Put my bike on the car rack. Drive to Waukesha. Ride the bike west on the Glacial Drumlin trail. Ride south to Fort Atkinson. Ride to the replika of Fort Coshconong. It was a fortress built for U.S. soldiers fighting Native Americans in the Black Hawk War of 1832. Ride back to Waukesha. My legs get very sore. I took on too much. Load bike back onto car rack. Drive home. Lay on the couch and watch “The War Room” (1993).

Wait all morning

Wake up tired and worn out. Wait all morning for my energy to return. In the afternoon ride my bike south along the Oak Leaf trail down to Grant Park. Ride back home.
