Don't Worry, Be Happy
In the morning clean the house. In the afternoon work at the office. Later walk out to Lake Park. Walk along the lakefront back home. Stop for an ice cream cone. Hold it up and take a picture as two little kids look on with jealousy. The skies get dark and it starts to rain just as I get inside.
In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Drive to Lorena’s house. Play on the sidewalk with Xena. Today I am a ferocious dragon. She is a princess. I chase her up and down the sidewalk while roaring loudly. She runs. Whenever I get too close she holds up her hand and yells “Freeze!”. I suddenly stop and don’t move. Then she walks away. Then it starts all over again. In the afternoon go back to the office. Do several court hearings over Zoom. Later walk along the lakefront to Northpoint. Walk down Farwell Avenue. Walk up Brady Street. Walk back home.
In the morning drive to Racine. Go to the Law Enforcement Center. Stay in Racine all day for jury trial. Give client a ride to his hotel after court. Drive home. At night watch “Beneath the Planet of the Apes” (1970).
In the morning walk to the office. Do a couple of hearings over Zoom. In the afternoon drive to Racine. Go to the courthouse for jury selection. After court is done, give the client a ride to his hotel. Drive home. At night watch “The Devil’s Advocate” (1997).
In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive to Lorena’s house. There was a car accident that had just occurred. The tow driver arrived to take the damaged car away. Play hide and seek with Xena. I trick her by coming the other way around the house to find her. Xena is taken by suprise. In the afternoon go to the courthouse. Do a sentencing hearing. At night go to Orangetheory. My knee hurts. Do a poor job of exercising.
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. See the lady in front of the Milwaukee Market. Give her a handful of money in front of the Wicked Hop. In the afternoon walk south to Wilson Park. Check out the festival for Puerto Rico. The people are all decorated in Puerto Rico clothes and are flying the flags of this little island. Everyone is happy. Walk back home. At night watch “Spectre” (2015).
In the morning work around the house. Walk to the office. Work there for a little while too. In the afternoon walk south to Layton Avenue. Stop at Frida Fest. See a bunch of pretty latina women. Walk back home. Along the way get very sore. Stop in Walker’s Point to do some stretching. My legs feel better. At night watch “Skyfall” (2012).
In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Go in to court for a preliminary hearing. Drive to Lorena’s house. Bring a McDonald’s Happy Meal for Xena. We play with her dollhouse in the courtyard. Drive back home. Too tired to go for a walk. Go to bed early.
In the morning, walk to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. In the afternoon take a short nap. Walk along the lakefront to Northpoint. Walk west on North Avenue. Follow the riverwalk back downtown. The sun is partially obscured by clouds.
In the morning walk to the office. In the afternoon walk up Prospect Avenue to North Avenue. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk south towards downtown. Stop to hang without with a group of geese relaxing by the lagoon. At night go to Orangetheory.
