Good to see it back

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Walk over to the jail. Meet with a client while listening to the music playing from the makeshift barbershop set up next door. I haven’t seen the jail barbershop running since before COVID. It was good to see it back. In the afternoon go to another hearing at the courthouse. A huge snowstorm wacks the city. Sit on the couch and watch television shows.

Dreaming of Mexico on a cold winter’s day

A giant snowstorm rages all day. The courthouse is closed. Snow day!! Walk to the office in the morning and work on several files. In the afternoon walk to the post office. Drop off envelopes containing correspondence for clients at the jail. Walk to North Avenue. The snow smacks my face as the high winds swirl around me. Walk down to the lakefront. See a man holding up a flag of Mexico in defiance of the snow storm. Dreaming of Mexico on a cold winter’s day.
