Packers hat

In the morning go to the courthouse for a live hearing. Drive back to my office to do two more court hearings over Zoom. Drive to Lorena’s house. Run around the yard with Xena. Give her the Packers hat that I got for her at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Also give her the Mexico flag that I got for her last month. In the afternoon drive back to the courthouse for a sentencing hearing.

2010

In the morning walk to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. Make a bunch of phone calls. Work on several files. In the afternoon do more court hearings over Zoom. Later on a witness comes by the office to meet with me to discuss her son’s case. At night go to Orangehteory. Watch “2010” (1984).

Back at a Packers game

In the morning drive to Green Bay in a rainstorm. It is hard to see the road at times. The rain stops when I get to Lambeau Field. My first time back at a Packers game in two years. Walk around the stadium for a couple of hours. Go in for kickoff. The Packers win over the Steelers 27-17. It was great fun. The drive home is uneventful.

Make it go

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Give my closing arguments to the jury. In the afternoon walk to the office. Do a phone consultation with a client away up north in prison. Walk north along the lakefront to Northpoint. Stop at Ian’s for a couple slices of pizza. Walk back home. At sunset drive to Lorena’s house. Play in the backyard with Xena until it gets dark out. Xena has a few toys she just got. The car has a string that you pull to make it go. She gets so excited when it runs on the sidewalk that she jumps up and down.

In its warm glow

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Continue the jury trial all day. After court walk down to the lakefront. Throw out hard roll scraps to the ducks sitting out on Lake Michigan. Walk to Northpoint. Walk to Ian’s Pizza. Enjoy two delicious slices of pizza. Walk down Farwell Avenue to Brady Street. Walk up Brady Street. The setting sun bathes the street in its warm glow. Walk back home.

Paper Moon

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go at it all day in jury trial. Cross examine the eye witnesses. Cross examine the police. Argue with the prosecutor. After court walk up Prospect Avenue to North Avenue. Walk down Farwell Avenue to Brady Street. Walk up Brady Street. Walk back home. Watch “Paper Moon” (1973).

Waiting for the jurors

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Do a couple of court hearings over Zoom while waiting for the jurors to be brought up. Do jury selection. In the afternoon start the trial. After court walk up Prospect Avenue to North Avenue. It is nice and sunny again today.

Ran out of jurors

In the morning drive up to the office. Do court hearings over Zoom. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury selection. The court ran out of jurors. They were all given to a civil case being heard down the hall. Covid strikes again! Go home early. Walk along the lakefront. It is nice and sunny.

Clinch division title

In the morning do a water change on the fish tank. In the afternoon walk south to Bay View. Walk out to 35th Street. Walk to American Family Field. Walk by the stadium. The Brewers are playing their last home game of the regular season. They win. They also clinch the division title.
