Six pack of dinosaurs

In the morning walk to the office. Work briefly. Drive to a laundromat near 7th and Maple Streets. Play with Xena in the parking lot. Bring her a six pack of dinosaurs. She loves them. We chase each other around and around the cars. In the afternoon walk north to UW-Milwaukee. Listen to the Packers beat the Washington Football Team 24-10. Walk to Domino’s Pizza on Wisconsin Avenue. Walk home in the rain. The pizza box gets soggy but the pizza inside stays dry.

Friendly skeleton

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a little while. In the afternoon walk north along the lakefront out to Capitol Drive. Along the way a friendly skeleton says hello to me. Stop at Culver’s for a cheeseburger. There are three teenage girls running around the restaurant and jumping on the chairs. Walk back home while listening to Harvard get beat in overtime by Princeton.

Waiting for me

In the morning go to put seed down for the birds that live in the parking lot. They are lined up along the freeway ramp waiting for me. They do this most mornings. The number of birds is getting larger every day. Drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. In the afternoon drive to the jail for more consultations. At night watch “Dune” (2021).

Stalker

In the morning drive to the office. Go in for a Zoom hearing. Drive to Brookfield. Go pick up a file from an attorney’s office. Do some shopping along Bluemound Road. Go to Emperor’s Kitchen for lunch. In the afternoon run out of energy. Lay on the couch and watch “Stalker” (1979).

Bad ass hawk

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. In the afternoon walk to UW-Milwaukee. Walk around the college while doing a telephone consultation with a client up north in prison. Walk down to the lakefront. See a bad ass hawk perched up on a streetlight. Walk home as the sun sets.

Halloween summer

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. In the afternoon walk to UW-Milwaukee. It feels like summer outside. The trees are still mostly green. There are Halloween decorations out. It is nice. Walk home as the sun sets. At night watch “North by Northwest” (1959).

Outgoing and friendly squirrell

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in with three cases set for jury trial. Walk out with no cases set for jury trial. In the afternoon walk to UW-Milwaukee. See a squirrell sitting on a bench in front of the student union. It is an outgoing and friendly squirrell. Walk home as the sun sets.

Packers beat the Bears

In the morning drive to the jail for a consultation. In the afternoon walk south to Bay View. Walk west on Lincoln Avenue. Walk to the Forest Home Cemetery. Eat a taco in the cemetery. Walk north on 27th Street to National Avenue. Walk east on National Avenue. Listen to the Packers beat the Bears 24-14.

Only a few students

In the morning walk to the office. Work on getting files ready for next week. In the afternoon walk to UW-Milwaukee. The union is mostly empty. There are only a few students inside. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk back home.
