Snow turns into rain

In the morning walk around downtown. It is cold with a snow and sleet mix in the air. Put down a cob of whole corn near a tree in Cathedral Square. In the afternoon check back. See a squirrel eating away at the cob of corn. Walk north on the Oak Leaf Trail to Capitol Drive. Walk back as the snow turns into rain. Get soaked.

Hilariously overpriced

In the morning walk to the office. Work on a few files. Pack up my cases for next week. Walk around downtown three times putting out whole corn and peanuts for the squirrels. Stop at the Milwaukee Market. Laugh at the hilariously overpriced Christmas trees for sale. One scrawny branch of a tree is unbelievably on sale for $12! Other ladies standing nearby laugh along with me.

A girl with a reindeer

In the morning walk to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. Drive out to Sam’s Club. Buy Diet Coke and Ice Mountain water. Drive to Farm and Fleet. Buy bird seed. Drive to Menard’s. Buy a broom. Drive to Burger King. Buy a sandwich. Drive to 24th and St. Paul Avenue. Drive to the former emissions testing garage. Get a COVID booster shot. My arm starts to bleed. They slap a band aid on it and tell me to move along. Drive home. Get a haircut. At night walk to Catalano Square. See a girl with a reindeer. Walk home.

Light and shadow

In the morning walk to the office. Do a couple of hearings over Zoom. Finish work on my motion to dismiss. File it with the court. Walk around downtown. Put out some peanuts for the squirrels. In the afternoon drive to the Safety Building. Go in for a motion hearing. Do a fantastic job. Drive home. Walk around downtown again. Capture a picture of the sun as it bathes Zeidler Union Square in light and shadow. At night go to Orangetheory.

For a third time

In the morning walk to the office. Work all morning on a variety of files. Walk around downtown and put peanuts out for the squirrels. In the afternoon walk back to the office and work on a motion to dismiss. Walk around downtown again and put peanuts out for the squirrels. The squirrels in the tree in Cathedral Square watch me closely. Walk back to the office for a third time. Work further on the motion to dismiss. At night go to Orangetheory.

In the morning walk to the office. Work on a few files. Walk around downtown. Put more peanuts under trees for the squirrels to find. Walk back to the office. Work some more. Walk around downtown again at night.

Construction going on

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. Told to come back at 1:30 P.M. Drive to the office. Work for a while. Drive back to the courthouse. Trial is adjourned. Drive home. Walk around downtown. Walk by the construction going on at the convention center. Put some peanuts by trees where I see squirrels living. Walk home. At night go to Orangetheory. My heart races into the red zone. Run a mile on the treadmill.

Change from day to night

In the morning drive to Farm and Fleet. Pick up bird seed. It is much more expensive this time. Drive to the office. Pack up files for next week. Walk down to the lakefront. Walk around downtown all afternoon. Watch the Christmas lights change from day to night. Listen to the Packers beat the L.A. Rams 36-28.

Enjoy using my new iPhone

In the morning walk to the office. Work on a few files. In the afternoon walk along the lakefront out to UW-Milwaukee. Listen to the Michigan Wolverines beat Ohio State. Walk back home. Enjoy using my new iPhone.

Get Back

In the morning drive out to Heather’s house. Go with Bryce to the Verizon store. Sign up under his plan and get a huge deal on a new iPhone. My plan is way better and my monthly charge is way lower. I walk out of there better off than I was before the kid snatched my phone! Haha! Drive home. Watch the Beatles Get Back series. Love it.
