Rally for Gaza

In the morning walk to the office. Get files ready for next week. Walk home. In the afternoon walk to Red Arrow Park. Stop to watch the Rally for Gaza. See the people lining up to march the streets. They walk one way and I walk the other. Walk out to North Avenue. Turn around and walk home. At night go to Mo’s Steak house to celebrate my birthday with the family.

Flashdance

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work briefly. Walk home. Drive back to the courthouse. Go in for another hearing. Drive home. Tired. Recover after an hour or so. Walk north to Lake Park. Turn around and head back south. Stop at Sendick’s on Downer Avenue to buy deli food for dinner. Walk home. At night watch “Flashdance” (1983).

Shift change

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. In the afternoon drive to the courthouse. Go in for a couple of hearings. Walk over to MSDF. Go in for a consultation. Delayed over there for a while during the shift change. Guards coming in for work and guards leaving work. Those who are coming to work look resigned to their fate while those who are leaving look happy and contented. Drive back home.

See lots of insects

In the morning drive to Sam’s Club. Buy a cart full of Diet Coke and Ice Mountain water. Drive to Farm & Fleet. Buy bags of bird seed. Drive south on I-94 to Highway 20. Walk west to Colony Avenue. It is all farms and houses out here. Walk north to Highway K. Walk east to the A&W. Get a cheeseburger and a root beer. Walk south back to my car. Along the way see lots of insects out enjoying this record setting warm day. It is over 80 degrees. Also see lots of birds dive bombing into the tall grass feasting on those insects. See the sun set. Drive home in the dark.

The Scoop

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk to the U.S. Bank Tower. Eat lunch. Hoda & Jenna is on again. Today they are gossiping about the love lives of Meryl Streep and Bradley Cooper. It is during a segment they call “The Scoop”. They also do makeovers and talk about recipies for Halloween parties. Walk back to the office. Continue working the rest of the afternoon. Walk home. At night finish watching the last episode of “The Fall of the House of Usher” (2023).

Lake Five

In the morning drive to Sussex. Walk east then walk north. Walk to County Line Road. Walk west past Lake Five. Walk south to the Bugline trail. Walk back to my car. Walk over 7 and a half hours and get 45,000 steps. Drive home.

Goose with one foot

In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. In the afternoon walk along the lakefront. Throw out bread to a goose with one foot. Keep walking north to UW-Milwaukee. Stop at Qdoba for a quesadilla. Walk south back home. At night keep watching “The Fall of the House of Usher” (2023).

In the backyard with Xena

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Drive to Lorena’s house. Play in the backyard with Xena. Today we pretend we have cell phones. At some point she takes my cell phone away and smashes it on the ground. Then I take it to a “You Break, I Fix” store. Then it starts all over. We also play “Red Light, Green Light” and we chase around the yard over and over. It is so much fun. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work very briefly. Walk home. Lay on the couch and keep watching “The Fall of the House of Usher” (2023).
