Don't Worry, Be Happy
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk to the United States courthouse. Go to the clerk’s office. Obtain a trial transcript from a case. Walk to the U.S. Bank Tower. Go in for lunch. Eat a salad. Walk back to the office. Work some more. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Struggle to do much more. My lower back still hurts. Looks like it is time to go back to acupuncture. At night watch “Man on the Run” (2025), a documentary about Paul McCartney and Wings in the 1970’s.
In the morning drive to Germantown. Walk north to Pioneer Road. Walk east. Walk south. Walk back to my car. The hike is difficult. My lower back pain is acting up. Drive home.
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. It starts snowing. Walk to the grocery store. Stop at the No War on Iran! rally in Cathedral Square. It is sparsely attended. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. It is 60 degrees outside. Get my bike out. Ride up the Oak Leaf trail out to Capitol Drive. Walk north to Hampton Avenue. Walk south to North Avenue. Walk north back to my bike. Ride home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing with a jerk client. He pleads out so I do not have to try his case next week. Excellent. Drive home. In the afternoon walk to the jail. Go in for a consultation with a much more pleasant client. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for hearings. Drive home. Wait for the installer to come and put in my motorized window shades. Later walk to the office and work briefly. Walk home.
In the morning watch a video on the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Drive to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive home. In the afternoon walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for jury trial. Case is adjourned. Drive home. In the afternoon walk to the office. Work for a little while. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. It is windy and cold. Walk over the bridge from the art museum and see geese grazing in the gardens below.
In the morning drive to Fredonia. Walk west. Walk north. Walk to Waubeka. See the one room schoolhouse where the idea of celebrating Flag Day started. The wind picks up and it gets colder. See young cows hopping around their pen. Walk back to my car. Drive home.
