Don't Worry, Be Happy
In the morning the HVAC installers show up. Sit around the house all day as they install a new furnace and air conditioner. Kristine stops by. Sit and talk with her down in the lobby. It is her birthday. Give her some cash with a bow on top. Also give her a hug. At night enjoy the aritifically cool temperatures of a working air conditioner for the first time this summer.
In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for all day of court. Two jury trials and two sentencings. At the end drive home happy with my efforts. Start to go for a nice walk. It is sunny and warm. Begin to crash out however. Walk home and lay on the couch and watch television.
In the morning ride my bike to 60th Street. Walk south to Lincoln Avenue. Walk west to 92nd Street. Walk on the Hank Aaron trail out to Highway 100. Walk to Mayfair Mall. See “Superman” (2025). It is very, very good. Walk back to my bike. Ride home.
In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. In the afternoon walk along the river walk out to North Avenue. Walk east. Walk back south to Brady Street. See Harleys parked up and down the street. It is “Motorcycle Parking Only”. Walk home.
In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. In the afternoon walk to acupuncture appointment. Electric jolts go off when the needles go in my back. Walk home. Lay on the couch.
In the morning drive to the House of Correction. Go in for a consultation. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. The Harleyfest set up has taken over the lakefront. Find some geese that have been temporarily put out by that shit show. Throw bread out to them. They are glad about that at least. Walk home.
In the morning walk to the office. Walk home. Walk to the jail. Go in for consultations. Walk home. My lower back hurts like hell.
In the morning meet with a saleswoman about doing a bathroom remodel with a shower conversion. It goes well. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront for a brief while. Walk home. At night watch “The Dark Knight Rises” (2012).
In the morning walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Ride my bike to 76th Street. Walk west to Highway 100. Walk north to North Avenue. Turn east and then south back to my bike. Ride home on the Hank Aaron trail as Brewer fans walk to the stadium to watch our Brewers clobber the defending champs, the L.A. Dodgers.
In the morning drive to Johnson Creek. Walk north. Walk west. Walk south. Try to walk on the Glacial Drumlin trail back east. Get relentlessly attacked by bugs. They bite and bother me. Get off the trail and return to the road. Walk back to my car. Drive home.
