Go to the jail for a consultation. Run over to the Safety Building for a sentencing hearing. Walk back and forth to the office to pick up some discs. Go back to the Safety Building in the afternoon for a status hearing. Drive to 27th Street to go to Firestone. Replace a clamp on the coolant hose. Get two new tires. Go home.
Knee hurts
Wake up late. Go to the office and get alot of work done. Client’s family comes in for a meeting in the afternoon. Walk along the lakefront to Northpoint. Knee hurts. Go to Orange Theory. Knee hurts more. Get home and put ice pack on knee.
Spring Election Day – 2019
Go to the jail in the morning for consultations. Stop by a court to get a new court date and say hello to the client’s baby. Walk to the Marquette campus for lunch. Eat with the college students at the union. Eat the delicious chocolate pudding snack that keeps me coming back for more. Walk back to the jail for another consultation. Walk to the Municipal Building to vote.
A Star is Born
Go to the courthouse in the morning for jury trial. Case is adjourned. Walk to the office. Work all afternoon. Go to Orange Theory. Watch “A Star is Born” (2018).
Walk off double
Walk along the lakefront to Northpoint tower. The sun is rising in the east. Walk up North Avenue and then follow the river back downtown. Stop at the office to review videos and police reports. Walk to Miller Park while listening to the Brewers exciting come from behind 9th inning win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Brewers do it with a walk-off double. Hear the crowd cheering wildly as I walk by Miller Park. Walk back downtown as the sun sets in the west.

Go to Pick N’Save in the morning to buy groceries. Walk to the office. Work on a variety of things. Catch up on alot of work. Order a pizza from Pizza Shuttle. Walk back home. Drive to the car wash. Vacuum the inside and get a wash. Drive to Valvoline for an oil change. Go to Meiji Cuisine for Elise’s Birthday. Take a picture of the flames shooting out from the grill. I can see an angel is dancing in the flames. This means good luck for everyone at our table. Go back to Heather’s house for cake and presents for Elise.
End of the tunnel
Go to the Safety Building for a sentencing hearing and a pre-trial. Sit around all morning. Go home for lunch. Hit the end of the tunnel. So very tired. Take a nap. Watch youtube videos. Go to bed early.
Opening Day 2019
Go to the Safety Building in the morning for jury verdict. Go to the jail for consultations. Walk up Prospect Avenue to North Avenue. Walk back downtown along the river. Listen to the Brewers beat the St. Louis Cardinals on Opening Day of the baseball season.
Staying focused in battle
Go to the Safety Building for jury trial. Spend as much time in the cell behind the courtroom talking to the client as I do being in front of the jury. Client and his family are stressed. I stay focused throughout. End with a strong performance when I argue the case to the jury. Cancel Orange Theory because my left knee is acting up. Go to bed early.
Lunch again at Marquette
Go to the Safety Building in the morning to resume the jury trial. Walk back to the Marquette Union to have lunch with the students. Today is a cup of chili and more of that delicious chocolate pudding. Walk outside and see the leftover cupcakes from yesterday’s food fight still all over the grass and sidewalk. Walk back to the Safety Building for more jury trial.
