Berger’s

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Forget to bring peanuts for the squirrels. They crawl around the tree looking for the peanuts. I feel bad about my mistake. Drive to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. Work the rest of the morning. Drive to Berger’s on 75th and Florist to install the hitch on my car. The place looks like a time capsule from the 1970’s or 1980’s. They do quick work however. Drive to a nearby nursery. Buy plants and soil to put in the old fish tank sitting on my deck. Take a nap. Decide to keep the plants inside overnight to save them from the cold weather. At night go to Orangetheory. Do the 2000 meter benchmark row. Everything hurts as I plow through. Set a personal best record. Beat the old time by more than 30 seconds.

Go in for a consultation. Drive north to the House of Correction. Continue listening to the podcast about George Washington. Go in for a consultation. Drive to Milwaukee. Finish listening to the podcast about George Washington. Go in to the jail for another consultation. Drive home. I am mentally drained. Lay on the couch and watch Pluto TV. Put on the Classic Doctor Who channel. Watch the episodes flash by.

Andrew Jackson is sick and dying

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Drive to Pick N’ Save. Do some grocery shopping while listening to an audiobook about President Andrew Jackson. The book is close to the end and Andrew Jackson is sick and dying. My stomach also hurts while I shop. These two things go together. Drive home. Clean out the filter on the fish tank. Walk to the office. Organize my files for the next couple of days. Walk home. Drive to the Safety Building. Go in for a court hearing. At night go to Orangetheory. One of the judges is also in my class. Watch “Good Morning Vietnam” (1987).

Flowers at the Joan of Arc chapel

In the morning walk down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Walk home. In the afternoon walk up to Marquette. There are no students outside. They are all inside studying for their final exams. The flowers at the Joan of Arc chapel are beautiful today. Walk north to the Pabst development. Walk down to the Fiserv Forum. Walk back home. Walk over 20,000 steps today.

Walk out to Kern Park

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. In the afternoon walk north through Riverwest. Walk out to Kern Park. My feet begin to hurt bad. Walk back downtown. Take the Hop back home. Walk over 30,000 steps.

Sit around for three hours

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Drive to the office. Go in to do a couple of hearings over the Zoom app. Drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Drive home for lunch. Drive back to the courthouse in the afternoon. Sit around for three hours waiting to do a preliminary hearing. Drive home.

Rainy morning. Skip the lagoon. Drive to the jail. Go in for a couple of consultations. In the afternoon go to the office for a bit. Walk home. Do a water change on the fish tank. At night go to Orangetheory.

Returns finally

Life has slowed down
