Every step hurts

In the morning go to the office to work on the stack of files that are scattered across my desk. Work into the afternoon. At night walk up the Oak Leaf trail to Capitol Drive. Walk over to Oakland Avenue. Walk back downtown. It is a struggle today. My feet and my legs are sore. Every step hurts.

The end of January

In the morning, go to the Safety Building for sentencing hearings. In the afternoon go to the office. Took in a bunch of new cases this week. My desk is extremely cluttered. At night walk to the south side. Stop by Lorena’s house. Pick up a payment from a client who is over there waiting for me. Walk back home while listening to classic rock. Feel positive. It is the end of January.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Go to the Safety Building in the morning for some status hearings. Go to the office the rest of the day. At night stay in. Another rest day is needed. Watch “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (2019). Enjoy it. Relaxation and a good movie improves my mood. Nice.

Jo Jo Rabbit

In the morning drive to Racine. Go to court. See a defendant on another case snap out at the judge after getting a long sentence. Drive back to Milwaukee. Go to the Safety Building for a status hearing. Go to the Criminal Justice Facility for a preliminary hearing. At night walk to the Downer Theatre. See the movie “Jo Jo Rabbit” (2019).

The Irishman

Wake up sore and tired from yesterdays activity. Go to the Safety Building for a couple of hearings. Go home and watch “The Irishman” (2019). The movie starts out as a typical gangster movie then in the final thirty minutes changes into something entirely else. Take an extermely long nap. Wake up with a wicked headache. So bad I have to miss Orange Theory. Go back to bed. I have been pushing very hard the past week. I never took a rest day so my body forced me to take one today.

Walk to the Zoo

In the morning walk up St. Paul Avenue to 13th Street. Walk over to Canal Street. Walk west on the Hank Aaron Trail to Hawley Road. Stop at the McDonald’s on Bluemound Road for a cheeseburger. Walk to the Milwaukee County Zoo. Go in to see the animals. The place is pretty empty. Not many people out here. The only animals outside are the penguins and a polar bear. Go inside to see the Lion, some Giraffes, and a bunch of birds and fish. Enjoy spending time with all the animals. Walk down Blue Mound Road to Miller Valley. Pick up Wisconsin Avenue and walk back downtown. At night walk up the Oak Leaf trail out to Capitol Drive. Walk over to Oakland Avenue. Walk south on Oakland Avenue to Brady Street. Take Cass Avenue back downtown. Get home and see that the big toe on my left foot is swollen. I went over 60,000 steps today.

Stoicism

Sleep in a little late. Go to the office in the afternoon for a short while. Lay around on the couch. Walk on the Oak Leaf Trail to the Prospect Avenue bridge. Walk down Farwell Avenue to Brady Street. Walk south on Cass Street back downtown. Listen to philosphy lectures discussing Stoicism.

It is lonely up there

Go to the Safety Building in the morning. Go in for a hearing. Walk over to the jail for a consultation. In the afternoon walk up Prospect Avenue to North Avenue. Walk west on North Avenue. Walk up the hill overlooking North Avenue. It is lonely up there. Walk back down the hill. Walk up to Martin Luther King Drive. Walk back downtown. At night go to Orange Theory.

Snowy

Walk to the office for work. Have a telephone consultation with a client. Scan some files in the afternoon. It is snowy out. Walk up Propsect Avenue to North Avenue. Walk up to Downer Avenue. Walk back down Farwell Avenue to Brady Street. Walk back downtown.
