Dreaming of Mexico on a cold winter’s day

A giant snowstorm rages all day. The courthouse is closed. Snow day!! Walk to the office in the morning and work on several files. In the afternoon walk to the post office. Drop off envelopes containing correspondence for clients at the jail. Walk to North Avenue. The snow smacks my face as the high winds swirl around me. Walk down to the lakefront. See a man holding up a flag of Mexico in defiance of the snow storm. Dreaming of Mexico on a cold winter’s day.

Eager looking squirrel

In the morning walk to the office. Have a client and his mother stop in for a consultation. Continue working on other files after they leave. Walk home. Have lunch. Walk back to the office. Continue working all afternoon. Walk down to the lakefront. Run across an eager looking squirrel. Put peanuts out. The squirrel starts eating right away.

In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for consultations. Drive home. Try to walk to the office. My knee acts up. Walk back home. Put ice on it. Try it again. Walk to the office. Work in the afternoon. Walk home in the rain.

Set behind the city skyline

In the morning walk to the office. Work on several files. Walk home. Have lunch. Walk back to the office. Work some more. Walk home. Walk down to the lakefront. Watch the sun set behind the city skyline. Walk up to Brady Street. Walk through Cathedral Square. See the lanterns changing color.

Not all the way back yet

In the morning walk to the office. Work on setting up my work for the upcoming week. Walk to the lakefront. Walk to Northpoint. Walk south on Farwell Avenue. Walk down Brady Street. Walk home. At sunset walk around the Third Ward. My right leg is better but not all the way back yet.

In the morning drive to the courthouse. Go in for several hearings. Drive home. Walk to the office. Work for a while. Walk home. Walk to the lakefront. Walk north to Bradford Beach. Walk up the long starcase to Northpoint. Walk to Brady Street. Walk under a bright blue sky.
