Berger’s

In the morning drive down to the lagoon. Put out seed for the ducks and the geese. Forget to bring peanuts for the squirrels. They crawl around the tree looking for the peanuts. I feel bad about my mistake. Drive to the office. Do a court hearing over Zoom. Work the rest of the morning. Drive to Berger’s on 75th and Florist to install the hitch on my car. The place looks like a time capsule from the 1970’s or 1980’s. They do quick work however. Drive to a nearby nursery. Buy plants and soil to put in the old fish tank sitting on my deck. Take a nap. Decide to keep the plants inside overnight to save them from the cold weather. At night go to Orangetheory. Do the 2000 meter benchmark row. Everything hurts as I plow through. Set a personal best record. Beat the old time by more than 30 seconds.
