In the morning drive to the jail. Go in for a consultation. Walk over to the courthouse. Go in for a hearing. Drive to Lorena’s house. Give her a birthday present. Run up and down the sidewalk with Xena. She has so much energy today. Drive back to the courthouse. Look through the police file on a case. Walk over to the Secure Detention Facility. Go in for a consultation. They hand out packis to the staff while shift change swirls around me. Later walk around downtown and along the lakefront. Walk up the Oak leaf trail to North Avenue. Walk home as it gets dark.
